Lana, the final two syllables of Oluwa-LANA, our founder’s last name, was started by two best friends who were born and raised in Nigeria and Egypt respectively, before immigrating to the United States. Although their early experiences couldn’t be more different, they also couldn’t be any more similar. They connected on shared values and a deep passion for design, human welfare, art, and family heritage amongst many other things. Lana is a combination of the memories they grew up around and those they have formed along the way; a familiar theme for many immigrants like themselves.
